Winnie-the-Pooh

So for my next book to review, I decided to go back to my classic roots.  So I’m reviewing Winnie-the-Pooh, but luckily not the Disney versions!  People today don’t even realize that Winnie-the-Pooh came out BEFORE Disney took it’s soul and made it into a billion dollar franchise.  And the book I read was actually a chapter book … Yes, a chapter book!  And there isn’t just 1 chapter book about the Hundred Acre Wood, but there’s actually 2!
So what’s it about, the author, A. A. Milne, is telling stories to his son, Christopher Robin, about the adventures of Christopher and his toys, including his favorite teddy bear, Winnie-ther-Pooh.  And each chapter is a different adventure that Pooh goes on like:  Trying to pretend to be a rain cloud just to get honey, helping Eeyore find his tail, trying to survive a terrible rain pour while saving Piglet from a flood, and much, much more!
I enjoyed reading this book … even though it only took me a day to read it.  But in my defense, I am a quick reader, and I read a lot!  It was a very entertaining book, the stories were adorable, they didn’t drag on like most chapter books for kids, and they had amazing pictures in there drawn by, E. H. Shepard.  And no Tigger wasn’t in this book, he’s in the sequel, The House at Pooh Corner (which I will review it once I get it in the mail).
If you have kids, you should definitely read it with them.  If you don’t have kids, read it anyway!  It’s such a great to read, and trust me you won’t regret it.  It’s nice to go back to your childhood for a little bit!
Whelp, that’s my review!  If you have any books that you’d like to recommend for me to read, please leave a comment, and I will review to you next time!
