Dad Is Fat

So here is my first review on a Memoir, Dad is Fat by Jim Gaffigan.  I rarely read these kind of books, although I’m trying to get myself to read more.  And this book is a perfect way to start reading memoirs!
So what’s the story.  The book s about the famous Hot Pockets! comedian, Jim Gaffigan, and his life living in a two bedroom apartment with his wife … and his 5 KIDS!  And to answer your question here is a direct quote from the book, “No, he only looks Mormon!”  It talks about his life before he had kids, while he was dating his wife, and then his now chaotic life.  Most of the book are stories and some are actually some good advice!  When I have kids I’m gonna use some of these tips of what to and what not to do with kids, but first I gotta find me a man … Anyone interested?!
I loved it!  I loved the stories, the way he broke the 4th wall, and the jokes!  Although, being a big fan of Jim Gaffigan, I’ve seen all of his specials and I did notice a few of his jokes from his specials in the book.  Which honestly I didn’t really mind it at all.  Reading this book made me want to write my own memoir of my nightmare going through Acanthamoeba Keretitis.  Would you read it?!  Trust me, it wont be as funny as Dad is Fat!
So that’s my review, and if they ever make a movie based on this book, I’ll do a Which is Better: The Book or The Movie.  If you suggest a book for me to review, please leave a comment down below and I will review to you next time!
