Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

For my next review I decided to review a book I read a while ago, but still remember it, Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter!  We are living in a time where the whole Vampire trend is fading away (THANK GOODNESS).  And I will admit, this is a vampire novel done RIGHT!  Now being a big fan of history and things just different, I was so excited when I found the only copy of this book at the book store, cause I’m too cool for buying it online … Well, back then, now I buy books more online then at an actual store!  But back to the vampires, there really isn’t a sparkly, werewolf, Kristen Stewart themed book.  Now let my review begin:
So what is the story:  At the age of 6 years old, our future 16th President of the good ‘ol USA, finds out that Vampires are real *GASP*!  After learning that his mother was not killed by milk sickness, but killed by … A VAMPIRE (insert Craig Ferguson dun DUN audio clip here), young Abraham decides to dedicate his life to nothing but killing Vampires, and his first kill is to be the man that killed his mother.  So then there’s some filler about his training, and then his 1st kill at the age of 12.  Then it goes on to his adult years about meeting his vampire killing trainer, who is oddly enough, a vampire!  He learns that the Vampires are being chased out of Europe and is now taking control over the slave trade.  If you didn’t figure it out from the last sentence, it is the reason the Civil War happened … you’re welcome conspiracy theorist hippies!  Then it talks about the war between the mortals and the vampires.  And if you didn’t pay attention in history class, I wont spoil the end for you!
Now let me talk about the style of this book, part of it is written as if a story, and then every now and then you get journal entries from Abraham Lincolns journals.  Now the reason for that is to make it seem like it actually happened, and coming from me … By the end I really thought it happened!  Seth Grahame-Smith did an excellent job creating a realistic illusion that Lincoln was a vampire killing machine, AND president!  I got hooked in the first couple pages, and that has to be a really good book for me to get sucked into, cause I’m a picky reader!
So my thoughts, I love it!  Five stars, *****, and I want everyone to read it!!!!!  In the next couple of days I’ll do my first What’s Better: The Book or The Movie.  Trust me when I type this … It ain’t gonna be a pretty review!
Soooo that’s my review, and if you have a specific book for me to read, leave a comment below and I shall get to it as fast as I can read!
